The quad fold ReboundAir collapses into backpack size! ( Update: okok, i was talking about hiking gear, this is not urban backpacking, but it comes with a hand truck for ease of portability) Sheesh that would sell half the market on it straight away. The nicely integrated legs fold into the frame on hinges and it makes for a tidy packing job. The plastic chassis is semi-rigid, won't compare too well with a unitized tubular steel, but rocks azz on bounce!
Plastic rebounders don't seem like they were made for the long haul. I've already heard stories and seen pictures of the plastic frame cracking on the spring mounting points. Plastic does not work for me! Not for the frame construction, unless you're using an aircraft grade synthetic, go with the metal frame. The ReboundAir rebounder is made with ABS plastic, which is different than the cheap plastic I am referring to as cheap.
My ReboundAir also had no spring cover. Big mistake. The springs are a hazard if exposed and their noise sings ever louder without some cover. They now have covers on their newer models. Most people buy rebounders and no one ever tells them about the Health Bounce. Many people are jumping high as they can and getting no benefits that rebounders are known for. This rebounder was designed for the Health Bounce and to get a great workout with a focus on lymph. This is why this rebounder keeps you close to the mat. In earlier videos, you see people trying to jump on it as if it were a big trampoline and they then say they don't like it. The people who understand the Health Bounce and its benefits prefer the bounce that keeps you close to the mat.
I've gotta keep a keen watch on my ankles when trying to assume a good rebounding posture on most rebounders as it inverts readily if you plan on jumping all over the mat. Know that this rebounder was designed for the Health Bounce. If this rebounder is used as was designed for, you don't have the problems with inversion. If you jump near the edge, you get more bounces per minute. If you jump near the center, less. Sometimes, with different routines you will want more or less bounces per minute.
This is the ReboundAir rebounder. Their springs are a different color than any other spring we have
tested on the market.
The hinge on the ReboundAir is much different than the other hinges. Their legs do not screw in or
pot in... they kind of roll in a very unusual way.
Their mats are Permatron and are very high quality. Their ABS plastic frame is made of the best plastic you can get.
It reminds me of the plastic they use on play grounds such as plastic swings.
The bounce is not as bouncy and will not jar you when doing the Health Bounce. This does have single tiered springs.
edge and one foot in the center so you can keep your balance while jumping. On any rebounder, always make sure the springs are facing down so you don't get sliced by the end of the spring hook, especially if there is no cover.

This is their new red one! Approved for the Health Bounce.
WARNING: THERE ARE CERTAIN PEOPLE WHO TRASH TALK THIS REBOUNDER. THEY JUMP ON IT AND THEY COMPARE IT TO A BUNGEE OR A LOWER G FORCE REBOUNDER THAT IS "SOFTER" THAT GIVES MORE AMPLITUDE AND DECELERATION.
This rebounder is not made to be a bouncy rebounder. This rebounder is for those who want to get the Health Bounce WITHOUT LEAVING THE MAT OR JUST SLIGHTLY ABOVE THE MAT. Those that are not doing the Health Bounce will not like this if they are looking for a bouncy rebounder. If you want to see how how hard it is to do the Health Bounce on a very soft, bouncy rebounder and try to get the same number of bounces per minute at 3 g forces as with the Rebound Air, you just can't, or at least I haven't seen anyone do it so far. This rebounder is the original design for the Health Bounce. Many people can try to copy it and find out the type of alloy they use and come up with a similar design but it never will feel like the Rebound Air.
I would recommend this rebounder for
Weight loss without burning calories and getting tired
Those who are acidic who have low mineral and energy reserves (this uses less energy to get the number of bounces as it is designed for the Health Bounce)
Lymphatic movement (This rebounder sets the Standard for all rebounders that give the Health Bounce)
Headache prone individuals (you don't have to jump above the mat as high up doing the Health Bounce to get 3 g forces)
Lighter weight (plastic weighs less than heavy gauge steel and is easier to carry)
This rebounder is made for the Health Bounce. It has a much shorter spring and does not have as many coils as the others who appeal to those that just want to bounce and have fun. This is made to move lymph, not to see how high people can jump as seen in some videos. Those that say it is jarring have no idea what the Health Bounce is or they are trying to avoid the whole topic all together in their videos where they say it inverts the ankle and pronates. If you are not planning on jumping to the sky and only bouncing just above the mat, this rebounder will do what it is known for, the Health Bounce. After all, this is the company that started the Health Bounce. Almost every book in every bookstore that sells books on rebounding talks about this brand and the Health Bounce created by Al Carter, the pioneer of rebounding.
This rebounder does not give a lot of acceleration. the short spring does not stretch out far enough to spring you back into the air like some of the really soft rebounders. This is made for a narrow weight class that is not too light but not too heavy and gives just enough lift to keep you close to the mat without so much air time. It appears that they made the springs in mind with their target market which are those people that need to lose weight by the Health Bounce they are known for. As long as you are in the weight class that tested positive for the Health bounce and other factors that you personally choose that fits your own needs, this should be a great rebounder. Rarely this rebounder gets returned for those that know what rebounding is all about.
You really don't need the bar with this if you are ONLY doing the Health Bounce and in the weight class that I found to fit for their Health Bounce. Not everyone's weight can get this Health Bounce. A 350 pound person would bottom it out although it is rated for that high of a weight to jump on.
If you want to know if this rebounder is for you, first, it's definitely cheaper than some of the other spring rebounders. If you are mostly interested in getting something that WILL GET YOU the Health Bounce that this was designed for, this will definitely do it. This is a very efficient rebounder with the non-springy bounce unlike a bungee rebounder in mind. You don't have to spend a second in the air longer than you have to. The acceleration and deceleration are in proportion. No problem there. The bounces per minute are what sets this apart from the other rebounders and this is one of the big pluses for this rebounder. It's actually what it is famous for. After all, they are the ones that invented the Health Bounce, not a rebounder that is too soft that has under 3 g forces when doing the Health Bounce where you just bounce over the mat. It is not too firm to give that ballistic impact if you are doing the Health Bounce.
